A Fairy Tale Pyramid
· 2 min read
Last year, the pyramid deck became something we'd never quite seen before: a music venue. Fairy lights threaded through century-old oaks. Gold fabric drifted overhead, catching the string lights like something out of a dream. Lily pads held candlelight on the pond below, and the whole hillside glowed violet and gold into the night. Our friend DJ Kora took the decks, and the same corner of the property that usually holds stillness and breathwork held bass lines and dancing until the early hours.
We've hosted plenty of ceremonies here, including sound healing, meditation, and group breathwork under the pyramid's copper roof. But that night reminded us of something we already knew. A true Hill Country retreat center doesn't ask you to choose between the sacred and the celebratory. It holds both.
That's the thing about 30 acres near Wimberley, Texas, shaped by hand, stone by stone and board by board. A space built with this much intention doesn't just hold one kind of energy. The same deck that steadies a meditation circle at sunrise can carry a dance floor at midnight. The same oaks that shade a quiet meditation retreat can be wrapped in lights for an outdoor festivity. The pyramid stands watch either way, energetically protected, as we like to say, whether what's happening inside it is silence or celebration.
If you're picturing a retreat here, a weekend of stillness, ceremony, and reconnection at one of the few true retreat centers in Texas Hill Country, this land will meet you there. And if you're picturing something louder, a birthday, a wedding, an outdoor event venue moment that needs music and lanterns and a little bit of chaos, it'll meet you there too.
That's Heram Al Noor. Old land, held quietly, until it's time to celebrate loudly.
