A Birthday Celebration

The evening

For a private birthday celebration the whole pool area turned into a stage set: lotus lanterns drifting on the lily pond, candles along the grotto stonework, and the oaks washed in colored light as the sky went dark.

The artist Kora, brought in for the night, played a live set from a corner of the deck draped in gold fabric: wooden flute over synths and electronics, carrying across the water while guests settled in around the pool.
