Wildflowers & Wildlife
Walk the land in the warmer months and the meadows do the decorating: native sunflowers leaning out of the tall grass, garden beds flowering by the paths, and live oaks holding it all together.
The wildlife keeps its own schedule, and most of it would rather you not notice: a leopard frog holding perfectly still at the edge of the lily pond, a spiny lizard vanishing against the oak bark, the bees working the blooms. Nothing staged, just the Hill Country doing what it does.
